Asam pedas nanas.Pulau Akar, Batam @ Akar Island is a small Traditional Malay Fisherman Village located next to Barelang First Bridge @ The Golden Gate. The size is only 1km square inhabited with about 200 families. 100% Malay and they are very kind and welcoming. There is also a primary school and the beautiful Green Mosque. A short boat ride from Barelang Bridg take you here. The view of wooden houses and the way of life will take you back to nostalgic of Singapore fisherman village 1950.
